PT MD Pictures Tbk. (IDX: FILM) announces to distribute a cash dividend of IDR11 per share for the Book Year of 2020. The cash dividend distribution has been approved at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) held in Jakarta on 19 August 2021.
During 2020, the Company recorded a decrease in both its revenue and net income. The revenue decreased 50.27% from IDR250.2 billion to IDR122.37 billion. The company also recorded a net loss in 2020 of IDR56.96 billion, compared to a net income of IDR60.96 billion in 2019.
Although recording a net loss in 2020, however, the AGMS has agreed to distribute its retained earnings as cash dividends for the Book Year of 2020 with total amounts of IDR100 billion. The remaining amount of IDR5 billion will be used as reserve funds.
The schedule for dividends' distribution are as follows:
- Cum dividend for regular and negotiation market: 27 August 2021;
- Ex-dividend date for regular and negotiation market: 30 August 2021;
- Cum dividend for cash market: 31 August 2021;
- Ex-dividend date for cash market: 1 September 2021;
- Recording date for those entitled to the dividend: 31 August 2021; and
- Dividend payment date: 22 September 2021.
FILM share was closed at a level of IDR358 per share at the last session trade on Friday, 21 August 2021. This means that the dividend yield ratio is 3%. During this year, FILM's share price has increased 82.65% YTD.
During the first quarter of 2021, the Company recorded an increase in both revenue and net income. The revenue increased 107.65% yoy from IDR29.36 billion to IDR60.96 billion. The company also reported a net income of IDR18.14 billion, compared to a net loss of IDR9 billion in the first quarter of 2020.
