Merdeka Copper Gold (IDX: MDKA): Repayment of IDR689.8 Billion Matured Bonds

Based on the document submitted to the authority (9 August 2021), PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk. (IDX: MDKA) has reported the repayment of the principal and fourth interests of Bonds Shelf I Merdeka Copper Gold Phase I Year 2020 Series A (Bonds). The Bonds were matured on 7 August 2021.  

The total amounts of the Bonds reached IDR689.8 billion and consist of:

1. Principal amounts of the Bonds in the amount of IDR673.65 billion; and
2. Fourth interest of the Bonds in the amount of IDR16.15 billion.    

The repayment to the bondholders was incurred on 9 August 2021 through PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) acted as an appointed paying agent of the Company. The fund to repay the Bonds was derived from the internal cash of the Company.

For information, during Quartal I of 2021, the Company recorded a 55,15% decrease in revenue from USD103.78 million to USD46.54 million. The Company also recorded a net loss of USD4.98 million, compared to a net income of USD14.97 million during Quartal 1 of 2020. MDKA is trading at IDR2,570 per share with a market capitalization of IDR58.87 trillion.
