PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk. (IDX: WIKA) has reported an additional capital made by the Company to its subsidiary PT Wijaya Karya Realty (WIKA Realty). The additional capital with the total amount of IDR775 billion was made to maintain its percentage of ownership in WIKA Realty.
The transaction was made through the issuance of new shares by WIKA Realty. The company has also reported that the transaction was successfully done on 6 August 2021.
Based on the document submitted to the authority, the additional capital will be used by WIKA Realty to integrate and improve the hotels owned by the State through the acquisition of PT Hotel Indonesia Natour (Persero) shares on its subsidiary (PT Hotel Indonesia Properti), hotel assets owned by PT Pegadaian (Persero), and PT Aerowisata shares on its subsidiary (PT Senggigi Pratama Internasional).
After making an additional capital, the Company's ownership in WIKA Realty will be maintained at a level of 93,05%. For information, WIKA has planned to bring WIKA Realty to go IPO in 2023.
During the first quarter of 2021, WIKA recorded a net income of IDR78.16 billion, a 21.22% decrease yoy. WIKA share was traded at a level of IDR895 per share as of 10 August 2021. During this year, its share price has decreased 56.13%.
